My sweetie and I leave this week on holiday. I would tell you where, but it might make you jealous. :) We have been planning it for some time and are so excited! With Darrin behind the lense, I know we will have wonderful visual documentation to share with you when we return in two weeks. Just in time for the farm to shift into high gear! A hard-earned last hurrah.

And Spring Came Early
Normally, I would hesitate to say that Spring has come early.....after all, this is Klamath Falls. To be sure, we haven't seen the last snow fall of the year, but this time last year we still had two feet of white on the ground at the farm. To have already sown sugar snap peas, spinach, and carrots outside lends great promise of having them for the first CSA delivery! Already the garlic has remarkable vigor. Don't we all feel like stretching our limbs after being long-suppressed by the weight of winter?

Two feet! eek! I just moved to Klamath Falls, this was my first winter in Oregon since I was about 20 years old. Cold enough, thank you. I can't imagine MORE snow falling.
